Brian Herrera

Brian Herrera is an illustrator & designer born in Veracruz, Mexico and raised in Chicago. His work focuses on dissecting immigrant identity and a passion for music through his versatile, and avant-garde yet familiar visual language Herrera’s most recent projects include product design for Rick Bayless’ Brewery Cruz Blanca, and Dark Matter Coffee, an innovative coffee brand based in Chicago. As well as Creative Direction and Illustration for Universal Music Group’s 2022 Latinx and Hispanic Heritage Month. His work has been exhibited at the Cooper Hewitt, Smithsonian Design Museum in NYC, Creative Resilience art show in DTLA Arts District and others. Past memorable features have been with Adidas during the 2020 NBA All-Star Game and Poster House NYC. Herrera’s work has also contributed to many alternative latin and punk bands and artists, some of which include up and coming Cabeza de Chivo, Rudy de Anda, French Police. His immigrant identity work also contributed to many well known non-profit organizations such as The Center for Cultural Power (CultureStrike), Define American, Immigrants Rising and Borderless Magazine.

Cristobal Alday

Cristobal Alday (he/him) is a Queer Latinx creative from the south side of Chicago. He focuses on photography, and film particularly dealing with queerness, familial dynamics, and space. He is an independent curator currently utilizing his room to curate exhibitions with works by local artists. His artistic practice influences his curatorial and writing approaches. Using collage making and poetic responses, he reflects on artists, their works and exhibitions and focusses on the collaborative aspect of projects and art making through audience interaction via online platforms such as Instagram and in person. Utilizing archival family photographs and influences from around the city, he creates a form of communicating history of the past, present and what could be the future.

Alex Hernandez, also known as 'uninspired', is a chicana artist from the south side of Chicago. They mainly work in print media, playfully exploring topics of trauma and mental illness using reoccurring characters.
